Regulation II(d) Waivers
REGULATION INFORMATION
Pursuant to Regulation II(d) documented within Little League's Rulebook, the Board of Directors of RLL with the approval of the player involved, can reserve the right to continue to play at RLL any individual:
- whose residence or school enrollment/attendance changes from within to outside of RLL's boundaries -or-
- whose residence or school enrollment/attendance is now outside of RLL's boundaries due to a revision of such boundaries even if the player then resides in the boundary of another league
Any player meeting the II(d) waiver criteria above may be retained for the remainder of his/her career, including Major, Intermediate, Junior or Senior divisions. Additionally, current players or any siblings of a current player who met the II(d) waiver criteria mentioned above at one time may be retained.
IMPORTANT NOTE: A player who qualifies for a II(d) waiver and elects NOT to participate for a season is not eligible to be retained for the subsequent season.
PROCESSING PROCEDURE
Any player that meets the II(d) waiver criteria mentioned above, and is interested in continuing to play baseball at RLL, must contact RLL's Registrar and President to execute the II(d) process. Copies of residency or school attendance verification documents for the most current completed year of play must be provided by the parent or guardian of the player involved. Verification documentation must prove the player either resided or attended school within the league's boundaries for that completed year of play.
For example, a player that participated at RLL during the 2023 Spring Baseball season but moved outside the league's boundaries and wants to play at RLL for the 2024 Spring Baseball season, must provide (either/or):
- three forms of residency documents dated in force between February 1, 2022 and February 1, 2023 (see LLI document instructions below) -or-
- school attendance document from the 2022-23 academic year, dated prior to October 1, 2022 (see LLI document instructions below)
Once the documentation is provided, RLL's Registrar and President will complete and sign the II(d) Waiver Form, then present it to District 11's Administrator for review and approval. Upon complete approval, RLL and D11 must maintain the form and documentation in their files. This review process is only required once during a player's career. RLL must maintain this waiver and related documentation for the duration of the player's career or until such player breaks service with RLL (whichever comes first).
